Why take a tour in Alta?

You can see the aurora from Alta on a clear night, and the forecast is free. What a tour adds is the choice of where to stand: a local guide who knows whether the coast or the plateau is clearer, the transport, warm suits to borrow and something hot while you wait.

"Was definitely pricey but the driver and guide took us to three different very remote locations and we saw the northern lights at all three"

Kathleen United States

"I received the best explanations of all the day trips I have taken so far. Excellent 👌"

Liviu Luxembourg

"Excellent tour. Although I didn’t get to see the lights, the tour was great, just a small group do very personal which I prefer. Got told a lot about the area and also shown some of the surviving churches. Shame the lights didn’t out in an appearance but it had been cloudy all day and you should accept that it’s not guaranteed. I was dropped back at my cruise ship in time which for everyone on a cruise is obviously important."

Mark United Kingdom

"Excellent sightseeing tour!!! We were happy with Día (the tour guide) and Thomas (the driver). They were very attentive, treated us wonderfully, were knowledgeable, and had great logistics based on weather information, which made it possible for us to see the Northern Lights during the tour. We highly recommend them 😁👍💕✌🏽"

Naly Estela Acosta Mexico

"The sightseeing tour was great fun. Even the explanations about how the auroras are formed are very interesting, as they explain in detail how this phenomenon occurs. We managed to see them, although not for long, as the weather didn't help much. It was still great fun."

Maria Aurora Prado Mexico

"what a fabulous time. our guide made sure we saw the lights and boy did we ever."

Stephen United States

"Excellent. Our guide River took us to 3 places to see the Northern Lights. He pointed them out to us and tried to help people with camera issues. He took pictures of guests with the lights, as requested. He also offered a snack and hot chocolate. Roger was friendly and knowledgeable, I recommend his tour highly."

Jill United States

"Great tour to see the Northern Lights. We were given information about the phenomenon before we set out. Guide was very knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out the lights. The tour had only 8 travelers but the back of the van with 4 people was a bit snug. We had a nice hot chocolate and bakery treat. We saw and took photos of the lights at several different locations. Would use this tour company again."
